About this race
Event Description
- Relay Format: A marathon distance running relay with your friends! Complete 26.2 miles with 1 or 2 of your favorite running or rucking buddies (or someone you just met).
- Course: The course is a 3 loop course that starts, ends and exchanges all in the same spot. The Atlantic Ocean is nearby the entire time, breathe in that salt air and breathe out all of your worries.
- Experience: This loop course came about due to permitting restrictions in 2020 and ended up being a huge hit. No worrying about driving to each exchange, less sidewalk and more shade.
- Transition Area: Enjoy the feel of an event by being in the same transition area all day with all of the other runners!
How the Relay Works
- Team Setup: Create your team of 2-3 runners or ruckers, decide who will run when, and run a marathon, relay style!
- Team Dynamics: One person from each team runs at a time: the others hang out in the transition area recovering, relaxing, and making memories with everyone around.
- Cheering: Repeat cheering, support, good times as you keep up this relay style running for 26.2 miles until your adventure concludes at the finish line party.
- Finish Line: Collect your hard earned finishers gift, have a cold beverage, eat some food.
Solo Marathon
- Distance: We have added this distance as well for those that wanted to tackle the entire distance solo.
- Loop Order: You will run the loops in order just like the relay teams do.
- Cut Off: There is a 6 1/2 hours cut off time for the marathon.
6k Info
- Course: Come out and run 3.7 miles through the beautiful Mala Compra Trails. The course is a loop, which starts and ends at the Hammock Community Center.
- Terrain: Most of the course is on a hard packed trail & boardwalk, the rest on sidewalk along A1A and Mala Compra Rd.
- Swag: 6k Runners/Walkers receive a custom beanie, finishers medal, food at the finish line and awards for the top 3 males, females & top masters.
- Awards: More award categories will be added if attendance dictates.
