Race Overview

Celebrate May Day with the May Day 5K! Lace up your running shoes and kick off the weekend with a scenic race through Historic Old Town Bluffton. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, casual walker, or simply looking for a fun activity with family and friends, this event is for you! The course winds through beautiful Old Town Bluffton and along the picturesque May River.

Strollers: Welcome. Dogs: Encouraged. Fun: For all ages!

Race Details

• Registration Fee: $35 (Prices increase after May 1st)
• T-shirts: Guaranteed for the first 225 registrants
• Awards & Prizes:
  • Top overall male & female finishers receive PRC gift cards
  • Medals awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age division
  • Top 3 fastest dogs also earn medals!

• Friday, May 15th: Late Registration & Packet Pickup at Palmetto Running Company (25 Minetta Lane, Bluffton) | 4:00 – 6:00 PM
• Race Day Packet Pickup: Martin Family Park | 7:00 – 7:45 AM (No Same-Day Registration!)

Why We Run

Join us in making a difference—one step at a time!

The monies raised through our 5K will fund future projects and programs within the community. To read about a few of our past LACHY projects click HERE. One program we particularly wish to highlight is the annual award for an outstanding senior(s) of Teens for Healthy Youth (THY). THY is LCAHY’s youth coalition and is dedicated to promoting positive teen health through peer-to-peer education, leadership, and service. LCAHY currently has THY programs at Bluffton High, Cross Schools, Hilton Head Christian Academy, Hilton Head High and May River High School. We look forward to partnering with you as we strive to unite our community to invest in the health & wellness of our youth through education, community service, and the promotion of positive choices!
