Providence College Friar 5K

Event Overview

PC's annual festival of fitness and camaraderie returns on Saturday, October 3, 2026 as a signature event during Homecoming, a weekend packed with exciting events for the entire Friar community.

Who Can Participate

• Participants: Students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to run or walk the 3.1-mile USA Track and Field-sanctioned course around the Providence College campus.
• Registration: Sign up as an individual or as a team to be part of the fun.
• Accompaniment: Children under 12 can accompany a parent or guardian for the 5K, but we recommend they participate in the Fun Run at 2:00 p.m. on Ray Traecy Track.

Special Offers

• Free Voucher: All race registrants who pick up their bib on Friday will receive a free voucher to eat at Ray on Friday evening. Start carb loading!
• Free T-shirt: A free cotton race t-shirt is included in the entrance fee, with sizes available on a first come, first serve basis.

Registration Information

• Pre-registration: Highly recommended to secure your spot.
• Walk-ins: Available on Saturday morning: it is recommended to arrive early if you are registering day of.
• T-shirt Availability: T-shirts are limited for onsite registrants.
• Weather Policy: The race will take place rain or shine!
