Race Overview

Welcome to the 28th annual 5K Race and Kids K Fun Run thru downtown Rockford.

Course Details

• Location: The course runs through historic downtown Rockford and along the majestic Rogue River.
• Accurate Timing: Accurate splits at each mile and finish times provided.
• Scenic Route: The course runs through scenic Rockford and along The White Pine Trail.
• Atmosphere: This is a fun, family event, with live music and a festive atmosphere.

Charity Information

Mitchell':s Run Thru Rockford (MRTR) was organized to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). Mitchell Peterson, and many other boys and some girls from West Michigan have been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. All race proceeds will be donated to PPMD in Mitchell':s honor, to END DUCHENNE.

Participant Perks

• Registered 5K Participants: Each will receive a Mitchell':s Run race tee, race bib, a finisher medal and race refreshments.
• Kids K Participants: Each will receive a Mitchell':s Run race tee, race bib, finisher medal and treat.
• Virtual 5K Participants: Each will be mailed a race packet with our MRTR race tee, race bib and medal prior to the event.
• Packet Pickup: Takes place on Friday, August 21 from 4:30pm - 7:00pm and Saturday, August 22 from 7:00am - 8:00am.
