Event Overview

Get ready for the ultimate fright-filled fitness challenge!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24, 2026, as the 12th Annual Pebble Beach Zombie Race returns to breathtaking Pebble Beach along the Fire Defense Roads! From 9:00 am to noon, join fellow thrill-seekers for a morning of heart-pounding fun surrounded by coastal beauty… and the occasional lurking zombie.

Race Options

• Extreme 10K Zombie Run: 6.2 miles of unpredictable, haunting terrain that will put your courage and endurance to the test.
• 5K Zombie Crawl: A grueling 3.1-mile course packed with steep hills and lurking surprises around every turn.
• 2K Survivor Stroll: A gentle, stroller-friendly mile where even the youngest survivors can join the fun.

Post-Race Celebration

• Tacos: After you escape the undead, celebrate your victory with delicious post-race tacos.
• Zombie Firefighters: Hang out with the Zombie Firefighters — you just might pick up lifesaving tips for the next zombie apocalypse (or real-life emergencies).

Dressing Up

ARE YOU A SURVIVOR OR A ZOMBIE?

We ask EVERYONE to dress up as a zombie, but the choice is up to you… REMEMBER, this is a kid-friendly event, zombies with excess gore or displaying violent tendencies will be asked to leave.

Registration Details

• Participants: Registration is limited to 500 participants.
• Fees: Adult registration fees are $28.74 and children are FREE! All child runners MUST be accompanied by at least one registered adult runner.

Race Logistics

The course both begins and ends at the Pebble Beach Corporation Yard located at 4005 Sunridge Road, Pebble Beach, CA 93953. Zombies and Survivors need to be at the course starting line one half hour before their chosen stampede wave.

• Wave #1: Takes off at 9:00 am for runners registered in the 10k Zombie Run.
• Wave #2: Takes off at 9:15 am for runners registered in the 5k Zombie Crawl.
• Wave #3: Takes off at 9:30 am for runners/walkers registered for the 2k Survivor Stroll.

Because nothing gets hearts racing (and brains thinking) like outrunning the undead! The Pebble Beach Zombie Run isn’t just about dodging ghouls: it’s about getting families outdoors, moving, laughing, and learning together. The real purpose behind the fun? Emergency preparedness!

While you’re weaving through the course and battling imaginary zombies, you’re also picking up real-life tips to help your family stay ready for any disaster. From building go-bags to planning escape routes, these lessons could save lives — and they stick best when learned in a way that’s unforgettable.

And the fun doesn’t stop at the finish line! Public safety teams, first responders, and volunteer groups will be there with interactive displays, games, and demos designed to spark curiosity and start conversations about staying safe.

The Rules

Children must be accompanied by an adult. NO DROP-OFFS allowed. We want this to be a safe, fun, family-oriented event. Zombies with excess gore or displaying violent tendencies will be asked to leave. No exceptions.

Spectators

Spectators are allowed, with limited race slots available please be sure to sign up early as this event sells out quickly. Our goal is Community Risk Reduction: there will be a multitude of Vendors on site to keep you plenty busy and informed on safety/risk management in the event you are not running the race!
