Race Description

• Experience: Follow the Embarcadero promenade past fishing boats, public art, and naval memorials.
• Course Types: Timed courses categorized by skill level - beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
• No Experience Required: Suitable for newcomers to orienteering, allowing a relaxed pace.
• Map Check: Participants will receive a map at check-in.

Race Format

• Format: Sprint
• Map Scale: 1:3000 | 2.5 m contours
• Courses Offered: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced
• Start Windows: Sign-ups for two blocks: 10-11am and 11am-noon.

Important Details

• Time Limit: ONE hour. All competitors must check in by 1pm.
• Electronic Punching: Electronic punching is required. Controls will be AIR+ enabled.
• Rental E-Punches: Available for $5, use "000000" when registering.
• Clinics: An introductory clinic will be offered at 9:45 am and possibly another before the 11am start.

Registration Information

• Pre-registration: All participants must pre-register: standard SDO policies apply.
• Registration Fees: $20 for adults, $10 for juniors (under 21).
• Early Bird Discount: $5 discount available until midnight on August 22nd.
• Registration Closes: 10 am on September 11th, or when limit is reached.

Entry Limit

• Participant Limit: Limited to 100 participants, with 50 per start window.

Location & Parking

• HQ Location: Likely at Ruocco Park.

• Parking: Ample PAID parking available in the area.
