Mighty Mile - FREE RACE FOR KIDS - Detroit

🏃‍♂️ Mighty Mile Overview

• Age Group: Children ages 5 to 14 years old.
• Registration Fee: FREE, no entry fee for participants.
• Event Date: June 3, 2026.
• Location: 5101 John C. Lodge Fwy, Detroit, MI at Wayne State University (Tom Adams Field).

🥇 Race Registration

• Registration Method: Online registration only, prior to the race.
• Participant Limit: Limited to the first 200 participants.
• Important: No registration available on race day.
• Bib Numbers: Must register to receive bib number and race materials.

📅 Race Schedule

• Race 1: 6:30 PM | 5 - 7 year olds
• Race 2: 6:50 PM | 8 - 9 year olds
• Race 3: 7:10 PM | 10 - 11 year olds
• Race 4: 7:25 PM | 12 - 14 year olds

🏅 Results and Awards

• Timing: Electronically timed: results available immediately after the race.
• Awards: No awards: all participants receive a Mighty Mile Finisher Medal.
• Goal: Encourage kids to challenge themselves and promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Encouragement: Volunteers will be along the course to support runners.

🏁 Course Information

• Course Layout: Start and finish on the Wayne State Track - Tom Adams Field.
• Loop Description: First 1/4 mile on the track, followed by a loop on sidewalks, finishing with 1/4 mile on the track.
• Participation: Parents are welcome to run with their child!
• Support: Wayne State volunteers will provide encouragement during the race.

💧 Additional Information

• Packet Pickup: On race day at Wayne State University Track starting at 5:15 PM.
• Water: Bring water for your child: no water will be available at the race.
