TEXAS TURKEY RUN
Give thanks in MOTION, two days after Thanksgiving.
Let’s celebrate Health. Wellness. Walking. Running. In that order. And the good fortune to move.
We call it a Run, but WALKING is at the heart of it. Walk the 1-Mile. Walk the 5K. Walk the 10K. Run them. Move at your own pace. Every step counts.
Walk it. Run it. Give Thanks in Motion.
Across the finish line?
You will earn your own collectible finisher medal. Our medal honors one of our nation's most cherished traditions: Thanksgiving.
The medal also features North America's most beautiful turkey: Meleagris ocellata. These prized birds were used as sacred offerings to the Maya gods during New Year rites as symbols of cosmic equilibrium (e.g. fertility).
