Cash Cow 5K

RUN FAST. WIN CASH.

The Cash Cow 5K is built around one simple idea:

• Less swag: No race shirt. No finisher medal. No bananas. No goodie bag full of things you don't need.
• More prize money: We’re putting as much of the registration money as possible into the CASH PRIZE PURSE.
• More winners: This isn’t a race where only the fastest three runners get paid.

114 RUNNERS CAN WIN CASH.

• Top 50 Men: get paid
• Top 50 Women: get paid
• Men's Age Group: 7 winners get paid
• Women's Age Group: 7 winners get paid

That’s 114 cash-paying positions in one 5K.

THE MORE RUNNERS, THE MORE MONEY!!

• Prize purse growth: The prize purse grows as registration grows.
• More participants: More runners means more money for prize payouts.
• Regular updates: We will update the current payout schedule regularly.

REGISTRATION OPENS OCTOBER 1.

• Early announcement: We’re announcing the Cash Cow 5K early.
• Pricing: Registration starts at just $30 for the first 25 runners.
• Price increase: Prices increase as more people register.
• Register early: The number of registered runners determines the price.

THE EARLIER YOU REGISTER, THE LESS YOU PAY

So mark October 1 on your calendar and be one of the first to sign up!

HOW THE CASH WORKS

• Open field: Top 50 Men and Top 50 Women earn cash based on their finishing position.
• Age-group awards: We do have age-group awards as well.
• Additional opportunities: 1st-place Male and Female in several age groups also receive cash.
• More chances: That’s another 14 opportunities to win cash.

THERE IS NO DOUBLE DIPPING

If an age-group winner has already earned an overall Top 50 cash award, the age-group money rolls down to the next eligible runner in that age group.

The age-group money won’t disappear just because the fastest runner in the age group already got paid.

NO SWAG. MORE CASH.

• No items: No shirt, no medal, no koozie, no sweat towel, no goodie bag, and no post-race buffet.
• No clutter: If you’re looking for another 5K shirt or medal to throw in the drawer, this isn’t your race.
• Chance to win: If you are looking to potentially put money back into your bank account, THIS IS YOUR RACE!
• Race experience: You are getting a professionally chip-timed 5K, post-race water, and a competitive race environment.

ALMOST A THIRD OF THE FIELD WILL LEAVE WITH A CASH PRIZE!

We still have unavoidable race expenses including permits, park rental, police, professional timing, course support, and other operational costs. After those expenses, the goal is simple: put as much money as possible back into the prize purse.

BRING YOUR FRIENDS. GROW THE PURSE.

Every additional runner helps grow the prize purse. Tell your running club, coworkers, neighbors, and that friend you’re pretty sure you can beat. More runners mean bigger prizes.

CHIP TIMING

The Cash Cow 5K will be professionally chip timed by Elite Race Timing. Final award timing rules will be published before race day so every runner knows exactly how finishing positions and cash awards will be determined based on the number of registrations we receive.
