About this race
Race Overview
The 6th annual Xracers Trail Run "The Year Of The Goat 1K and 5K Trail Run" "Benefiting The Ross S Sterling Band" takes place at the trails of Baytown Nature Center. Runners will start and finish at a downhill asphalt stretch and make their way to the trails which run along the trees, creeks, wooden bridges, and water ponds. The course passes near the Houston channel overlooking the San Jacinto Monument.

Course Description
Runners will traverse a scenic route that includes:
- Natural Wildlife: Enjoy the wildlife that calls the park home.
- Course Features: Trees, creeks, wooden bridges, and water ponds.
- Hill Challenges: Includes going up and around a hill before returning to the finish line.
- Viewpoints: Overlook the San Jacinto Monument on the other side of the Houston Channel.
Post-Race Activities
After the race, everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy all the activities the park offers, such as:
- Barbecue Pits: Enjoy a meal with fellow participants.
- Kayaking: Explore the waters nearby.
- Bike Riding: Take a leisurely ride around the park.
- Kids Playground: Fun activities for children.
Awards
Shirts and medals will be awarded at the Finish Line once everyone completes their run. All registered participants will receive their medals and shirts at the finish line (earn your shirt and medal).
