Cops & Monsters 5K Run/Walk

Event Overview

Join us for the Cops & Monsters 5K Run/Walk, hosted by the Indiana State University Doctor of Physical Therapy program! This family-friendly event promotes physical activity, community involvement, and support for ISU DPT students attending the 2027 APTA Combined Sections Meeting (CSM).

Run or walk the 5K, enjoy designated splash zones with local first responders, and have some fun while supporting future physical therapists. Registration includes an event T-shirt.

Registration Information

All individuals wanting a shirt must be registered by October 1, 2026 in order to guarantee a shirt. Individuals that register on or after October 2, 2026 understand that they may not receive a shirt.

Race Day Information

Parking

• Location: Parking is available throughout the Indiana State University campus.
• Cost: Most campus parking lots are free on weekends.
• Regulations: Participants are encouraged to follow all posted parking signs and restrictions.
• Additional Options: Visitor parking is available near the center of campus, including the North Visitor Pay Lot and the Pavilion Visitor Pay Lot.

Check-In

• Location: Race-day check-in will take place near the start/finish area.
• Timing: Participants should arrive early enough to check in and receive race-day materials.
• Preparation: Be ready prior to your scheduled start time.
• Updates: Additional race-day details will be emailed to registered participants as the event approaches.

Waivers

• Risk Acknowledgment: By registering, participants acknowledge that participation in a 5K involves physical activity and inherent risks.
• Documentation: Additional event and liability waivers will be sent to participants and must be completed prior to race day.
• Minor Participants: A parent or legal guardian will be required to complete applicable waivers for participants under age 18.

Weather & Cancellation Policy

• Event Status: The show will go on — rain or shine!
• Preparation: Please dress appropriately for the forecast.
• Safety Measures: Organizers reserve the right to modify, delay, or cancel portions of the event due to severe weather conditions.
• Refund Policy: Registration fees are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued due to weather or event changes.

What to Bring

• Footwear: Comfortable running or walking shoes.
• Clothing: Weather-appropriate clothing.
• Extras: A change of clothes or towel if participating in the Splash Zones.
• Hydration: Water as needed and your Halloween spirit — costumes are encouraged!

Please ensure costumes are safe to run or walk in and do not obstruct vision or create a tripping hazard.
