Join us for the Run for Freedom Obstacle 5K hosted by Restoration House Ministries on April 17, 2027 at 1867 Fordyce Rd, Victoria, TX. Register here.

About the Race

• Experience: It’s an invitation for you to experience the restoration and victory the residents experience at our residential program every day.
• Opportunity: Triumph over your fears, cheer on your community, and get really, REALLY muddy.
• Location: Features over ~10 popup and permanent obstacles at Patriot Park in Victoria, TX.
• Proceeds: All proceeds stay local to support young women & young fathers in overcoming trauma, abuse, and addictions.

Basics

• Entry Level: This tough-mudder-style trail race.
• Obstacles: Designed for both fun and challenge with various structures.
• Mapping: Follow this link for a printable map & reminders.
• Accessibility: The path is accessible by foot year-round and is maintained starting in February.

Finish Line Festivities

• Community Area: The Finish Line area is open to everyone and features health & wellness vendors.
• Food Trucks: Enjoy delicious food options after the race.
• Cheering Section: Bring family and friends to cheer you on or just enjoy the day.

Early Check-In

Location: 1204 N. Moody. Skip the lines on race day! Check in the night before on Friday from 5 PM-7 PM for Packet Pick Up (bib, wristband, t-shirt) at Restoration House Ministries Gleanings Resale Shop and enjoy 10% off everything in the store.

Race Day Schedule

Location: Patriot Park, 1867 Fordyce Rd, Victoria, TX 77905

Enter from HWY 59/Moody St and HWY 236/Timber Rd. (FOX & FORDYCE RDs WILL BE CLOSED). Google Maps Link

• 7 AM: Check In/Packet Pick Up & Late Registration open
• 7 AM: Vendors & Food Trucks open
• 7:45 AM: Opening Ceremonies
• *Please arrive no later than 7:45 AM.*
• 8:00 AM: Runners/walkers begin
• 8:15 AM: Obstacle challengers begin
• ~9:30 AM: Closing Ceremonies

Obstacles

• Structures: 4 permanent structures
• Mud Pits: 3 mud pits
• Cold Plunge: 1 cold plunge
• Community Obstacles: Several popup obstacles

If you register for the obstacle 5k category, you'll receive a paper wristband at check-in. You can skip any obstacle for 20 burpees and still be eligible for an award. If you can't do either, just surrender your obstacle bracelet and continue the race.

Teams

• Team Size: Can be any size: the team discount starts with the 5th person ($5 off: first 4 will get it refunded).
• Mixed Categories: Teams can have members in both the obstacle and 5K categories.
• Fun Together: Most things are better with a crew, plus teammates can help you out of the mud pit.

Corporate Cup

Teams of 5 or more obstacle racers are eligible to compete for the corporate cup, a trophy awarded to the first obstacle team to finish together, with all their obstacle bracelets intact.

Awards

The first 3 finishers in adults (20yr+) and youth (<20yr) racing in each category (5k, Obstacle 5k) will be awarded and recognized at closing ceremonies.

Spectators

All are welcome to spectate and enjoy the day. To access Patriot Park, please take HWY59/Moody St to Timber/HWY 236 and remember to bring a camp chair.
