Restoration House Ministries’ Run for Freedom Obstacle 5K (formerly 1000 Strong Overcoming Obstacles 5k) is more than just a race.

It’s an open invitation for you to experience the restoration and victory the residents experience at our residential program every day. It’s an opportunity to triumph over your fears, cheer on your community, impact eternity, and get really, REALLY muddy.

This entry-level, tough-mudder-style, trail race features over ~10 popup and permanent obstacle structures at Patriot Park in Victoria, TX.

Finish Line

Sleep in and skip the lines on race day! Come see us at Early Check-In and Packet Pick Up (bib, wristband, tshirt) for racers at Restoration House Ministries Gleanings Resale Shop the night before on Friday from 5pm-7pm and enjoy an additional 10% off everything in the store.

Enter Patriot Park from HWY 59/Moody St and HWY 236/Timber Rd. (FOX &: FORDYCE RDs WILL BE CLOSED.)

If you register for the obstacle 5k category, you'll receive a paper wristband at check-in. You can skip any obstacle for 20 burpees and still be eligible for an award. If you can't do either, just surrender your obstacle bracelet and continue the race.

Teams

• Size: Teams can be any size.
• Discount: The team discount only kicks in with the 5th person ($5 off: first 4 will get it refunded).
• Categories: Teams can be mixed categories. Some can be doing the obstacles and others just the 5K.

Corporate Cup

Want real bragging rights? Teams of 5 or more obstacle racers are eligible to compete for the corporate cup, a trophy given to the first obstacle team to finish together. This team must finish together with all their obstacle bracelets intact.

Awards

The first 3 finishers in adults (20yr+) and youth (<:20yr) racing in each category (5k, Obstacle 5k) will be awarded and recognized at closing ceremonies.

Spectators

All are welcome to spectate and enjoy the day. Just make sure to take HWY59/Moody St to Timber/HWY 236 to access Patriot Park and bring a camp chair.
