• Registration Cap: To ensure a high-quality experience for all participants, we are capping registration for The Silver Heist Walk/Run 5k at 150 runners.
• Sign Up Early: Once we hit our limit, registration will close—so don’t wait to sign up!
• Day of Entries: WE WILL BE TAKING DAY OF ENTRIES UNTIL 9:15AM! You can register online that morning or in person at the registration table starting at 8:00AM.
• Entry Fee: Day of entry is $28. So sign up early to save a few $$. Tshirts subject to availability for entrants after 9/7/26.

Silver Heist Walk/Run 5K

• Historic Background: Orwell, Vermont, was chartered in 1763 and has a rich history filled with resilience and community spirit.
• Race Tradition: The Silver Heist Walk/Run 5K will begin with the blast of a conch shell, honoring local history.
• Local Heist Story: In October 1862, outlaws robbed homes in Orwell, including Marcellus Royce who lost $30 in silver.
• Revolutionary Participation: The wooden token "R" will be provided to participants, celebrating local history related to the Revolutionary War.

• Medals and Awards: Overall men’s, women’s, young men’s and young women’s winners will claim a custom award representing the $30 stolen from Marcellus Royce.
• Age Divisions: Age groups are: 13 & under, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95 & up.
• All Paces Welcome: Whether you’re a seasoned runner or prefer a leisurely walk, the Silver Heist Walk/Run 5K welcomes participants of all paces.
• Exclusive Swag: All in-person participants will take home a custom Silver Heist Walk/Run 5K T-shirt and the wooden token.
