About the 19th Annual Manatee Center 10K, 5K, One-mile, & Kids Run
2027 marks the 19th Annual Manatee Center 5K - and newly, 10K! This Run with a View gets bigger and better every year, and we're including a 10K, along with our one-mile and kid's run!
The 10K and 5K route is timed by Second Wind Timing. Overall 10K and 5K winners, Masters, and top three M/F in all age groups (grouped by 10 years) will receive awards. The first 300 walkers and runners to sign up for the 5k are guaranteed to receive beautiful finisher's medals to commemorate your accomplishment. All 5K registrants receive a Tech shirt (shirts guaranteed until February 28th)! ALSO: Kids 15 and under register for the 5k for only $25.
The one-mile route follows the 5K route but turns toward the beautiful Indian River Lagoon before crossing over Seaway Drive Bridge. This route is untimed and there will not be awards, but all registrants will receive tickets to the very popular runners drawing.
This race is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Manatee Center, which supports the operations of the Manatee Center in Fort Pierce. All proceeds stay local and are dedicated to enhancing environmental education through the Manatee Center, focusing on conservation and preservation of the Indian River Lagoon, an estuary of national significance, marine life within the lagoon, and the surrounding ecosystems.
The Friends of the Manatee Center is a 501 (c)(3) organization established to support and enhance environmental awareness, education, conservation, and stewardship of endangered species and natural resources fulfilling its mission through the Manatee Center.
As always, THANK YOU for your support and we look forward to seeing you on race day.
