2027 Georgia TT Challenge

The 2nd year of the Georgia TT Event in 2026 was a great success, and I am happy to report we will have it again in 2027. This event is 1 of 6 UltraCycling Events (UCE) in the growing catalog of events on the WUCA calendar.

I have put this event into WUCA as the 6-hr NA Championship again for 2017 - They will choose these events in October, and I will update this paragraph to.

Event Details

• Location: New Ebenezer Retreat Center, 2887 Ebenezer Rd, Rincon, GA 31326
• Date: September 11, 2027
• Categories: 100-mile, 6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour
• Team Options: Solo, 2x-8x teams

Route Description

This is a great route to rack up your UltraCycling miles. Ride virtually flat, low traffic roads on the 29-mile loop during the day, going from New Ebenezer Retreat Center to the sleepy little town of Clyo and back. With hardly any trucks and low traffic, you will enjoy the peace and serenity of South Georgia. For the 24-hour riders, at night there is a 6-mile night loop so you will only be a maximum of 3 miles from the start-finish at any point.

Bike Category Rules

• Relaxed Rules: This is an ultra-cycling event and not a UCI event: you can use any bike you like.
• Swaps Allowed: You can swap bikes during the event if you want, as long as it is in the same category (upright, etc).
• Helmet and Gear: You may wear a Camelbak, aero helmet, special socks, and headphones.
• Restrictions: If you have something that “fairs you” (like a wind-screen), you will be placed in a “faired” category.

RAAM Qualifier

The 24-hour non-drafting will be a RAAM qualifier (RQ). RQ is 400 miles for men and 370 miles for women (and 60+ men).

Important Dates

• Aug 11, 2027: Last Day to register and order a custom 2026 Sav-TT-Endurance t-shirt, jersey, and/or medallion.
• Sept 10, 2027: Final day for online registration - 5 PM.
• Sept 10, 2027: Packet pickup and onsite registration - 4 PM to 7 PM.
• Sept 11, 2027: Event day packet pickup and late registration - 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM.

Main Venue

The hub of the event will be the New Ebenezer Retreat Center. The address is 2887 Ebenezer Rd, Rincon, GA 31326. Drive down Ebenezer Road (about 3 miles from the traffic circle) almost to the very end. When you see a cemetery on the left, the retreat center and parking lot is just past it with plenty of room for parking.

Awards and Ceremony

• Medallion: A Georgia TT medallion is included in your registration fee.
• Ceremony: Awards will be given at the Start/Finish line after each event.
• Photos: Everyone will have an opportunity for a photo with their medallion and crew.
• Recognition: Special recognition will be provided for the top overall place in each category.

Miscellaneous Information

Many thanks to New Ebenezer Retreat Center for opening their doors to our event. Please note that no pets are allowed on New Ebenezer property. Also, be considerate of guests, residents, and all drivers you are sharing the road with. Keep off private property and keep noise to a minimum at all times.
