Event Purpose

• Support: The Thanksgiving Walk of Awareness helps ACCESS Soup Kitchen & Men’s Shelter provide food, supplies, services, and shelter throughout the year for those in need.
• Awareness: The event brings awareness to homelessness within the community.

Registration Information

• Cost: Registration prior to the day of the event is $30. Registration on the day of the event is $35.
• Gratitude: ACCESS is grateful for the support of our community.
• Major Fundraiser: This is the ministry's largest fundraiser of the year.

How Can You Walk?

• Thanksgiving Day: Participants can choose one of the following ways.
• Option 1: IN-PERSON: Walk the actual route. Please note change! Because of the closure of the Singing Bridge, this year’s Walk of Awareness will begin at the VFW Post 4075, 104 E 2nd Street, Frankfort, KY. It will head down Capital Avenue, around the Capitol, back down Capital Avenue, and end at the ACCESS facility.
• Option 2: VIRTUAL: Walk the route on your exercise equipment, around your neighborhood, or at a location of your choosing.
• Photo Submission: Please take and submit photos of your “Walk” to [email protected]. Submission of photos and participation in walk gives ACCESS permission to post on our website and/or Facebook page.

Important Note

• T-Shirt Guarantee: To be guaranteed a T-Shirt, you must be registered by November 9th, 2026. T-shirts will be distributed the morning of the Walk at the VFW facility.
• Thank You: ALL monetary donations are welcomed.
