Freakin Freezin 5K - Phoenix

Race Description

It's that time of year when brave runners lace up, layer up, and take on the chill! The Freakin' Freezin' 5K is all about starting the new year with some frosty fun and cool determination.

Whether you're chasing a personal best or just out to shake off the winter blues, this race is your chance to embrace the cold, test your grit, and have a blast doing it.

So bundle up, hit the course and show everyone you're tough enough to run when it's Freakin' Freezin'!

We're coming out to Grand Canal Linear Trail and Glendale Heroes Park and running the paved trail for the perfect winter run.

Finisher Awards, Long Sleeve Race Shirts and amazing Awards to the Overalls, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Masters, and the 5-year Age Groups.

Event Schedule

• Check-in Opens: 8:00 am at race site
• Race Starts: 9:00 am

Course & Timing

We've got a great winter course set up. The amount of snow is weather dependent, but the odds of a fitting race setting are probably pretty good...LOL...We're not thinking it's going to be 70 & Sunny.

• Timing: We'll be chip timing the start & finish.
• Water Stations: Approximately every 1.5 miles.

Virtual Running - How it Works

Can't make it out to the event site on race day? Still want to participate and have a shot at an award? Or maybe you saw the shirt and said: "Sweet...I want one!" Then the virtual race is for you. Run when & where you want, just submit your time by end of Race Day. We'll ship out virtual packages the Monday after event date! *Shipping available for continental US only.

• Step 1: Get excited, grab some friends and buddies to join you! Sign up and register for the Freakin' Freezin' 5K Virtual!
• Step 2: Hydrate, grab your buddy (or not) and get ready to get moving!
• Step 3: Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood: anywhere you want. Please remember to be safe!
• Step 4: HAVE FUN! Share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route and use the hashtag #FreakinFreezin5K #fivestarntp #fivestarrunning

Step 5: Submit your results HERE. You can submit your race time anytime through Race Day.

Step 6: View your Results Monday after the Event Date.

Five Star Championship & Turkey Trot

All participants will automatically qualify for (1) FREE entry into one of the 2025 Five Star Turkey Trots: see website for details.

Top finishers will also have the opportunity to earn a spot in the Championships to be held January 2026. The number of spots available is based on the total registration...see event website for details.

Event Courtesy & Refund Policy

• Conduct: Any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct will be immediately disqualified and asked to leave with no refunds.
• No Refunds: All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
• Weather Policy: Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for safety reasons with no refunds.
• Swag Policy: Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
• COVID-19 Policy: No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise, the event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.

We always do packet pickup on race morning starting one hour prior to the start of the race. If we have an early pickup available, it will be added here.
