North Dakota State Fair Run the Route 5K

Race Overview

Join us for the annual North Dakota State Fair Run the Route 5K on July 18th and kick off the day with a fun run along the parade route!

Registration

• Online Registration: Registration will be open online until 08:00am on 7/18/2026.
• Race Day Registration: Available the morning of the event at the Our Redeemers packet pickup location (see below).

Packet Pick Up

• Date: Friday, July 17th – Roosevelt Park Zoo from 4:30pm - 7:00pm.
• Date: Saturday, July 18th – Our Redeemers from 7:30am - 8:30am.

Entry Fee

• Ages 13 and up: $25 through June 30th, $30 in July.
• Children 8-12: $15 through June 30th, $20 in July.
• Children 7 and under: Free.

Starting Time &: Locations

• Start Time: 8:45am 7/18/2026.
• Start Location: Our Redeemers Church (South Hill Sports Complex).
• Finish Line: Burdick Expy at the State Fair Gate E Entrance.
• Parking: Parking will be available at the Our Redeemers Church parking lot.

Transportation

All participants will be responsible for own transportation to starting lines and from finish.

Additional Information

• T-shirt Guarantee: Participants must register by July 4th to guarantee a Run the Route T-shirt.
• Admission Ticket: All runners receive an admission ticket to the State Fair on completion of the 5K.
• Awards: Concert tickets and trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers.
• Category Awards: Small awards will also be given to the top male and female in the following categories: Under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Community Contribution

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to children's running groups/programs in our community (BIOGirls, Strides for Sunnyside, etc.).
