Scheels BurliMOT Half Marathon, Relay, 5K, and 1 Mile Walk/Run/Roll

Race Overview

The Scheels BurliMOT Half Marathon is a unique running event that showcases the beautiful communities of Burlington and Minot, ND by way of a scenic 13.1 mile course that follows the Souris Valley along dedicated running/biking paths. The race ends in downtown Minot at Citizen's Alley.

• Custom Shirt: All runners registered for the half marathon, half marathon relay, or 5K by September 1st will receive a custom BurliMOT shirt.
• Finisher Medals: Medals will be also provided for all half marathon, half marathon relay, and 5K finishers.
• Date: September 11, 2026.

Events

• Half Marathon: Starts in Burlington on Saturday, September 12th at 8:00am. Shuttles will be available from downtown to get you to the start line.
• Half Marathon Relay: This race starts at the same time as the Half Marathon and follows the same course.
• 5K: This race starts at Oak Park located at 1300 4th Ave NW, Minot at 8:30am by the bandshell.
• 1 Mile Walk/Run/Roll: This race takes place on Friday, September 11th at Oak Park located at 1300 4th Ave NW, Minot at 5:30 pm by the bandshell.

Additional Info

• Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will be in Oak Park on September 11th from 4:30-6:30pm and on race morning starting at 6:30am in Citizens Alley.
• Bag Drop: Available at the 5K and half marathon start locations. Items will be transported to the end for retrieval at Citizen's Alley.
• Shuttles: Fun bus shuttles will transport participants to the event start locations. Limited space: early arrival recommended.
• Start Times: Half Marathon and Relay: 8:00am, 5K: 8:30am, 1 Mile: 5:30pm on September 11th.

Routes

The routes will be thoroughly marked by signage and volunteer direction. The half marathon starts in Burlington, while the 5K starts in Oak Park, finishing together in downtown Minot at Citizens Alley.

Water Stations

There are 8 water stations along the half marathon route: Powerade will be available at 4 of the stations.

Restrooms

Restrooms will be available at the Sports Complex for the half marathon start, at Oak Park for the 5K, and along the course including porta potties.

Timing

• Half Marathon, 5K, and Relay: Chip timed event: your chip will be attached to your bib.
• 1 Mile Walk/Run/Roll: This is not a timed event.

Prizes

• Half Marathon: Prizes awarded to top three male and females, and overall winner.
• 5K: Prizes awarded to top three male and females.
• 1 Mile Walk/Run/Roll: No prizes will be awarded for this event.

Post Run Event

Spectators and participants are all welcome to enjoy our finish line and post run event with food trucks, an outdoor bar, yard games, music, and fun!
