ONT's 5K at the Runway

5K at the Runway

Come Race or Join our FREE Community Event!

Welcome to Ontario International Airport’s 5th annual 5K at the Runway! This award-winning event has become a beloved Inland Empire tradition and a key fundraiser for the USO at ONT.

The south side of ONT’s airfield, with clear views of the iconic San Gabriel Mountains, is made for a 5K. Watch planes land and take off as you cruise along a three-lap course that's fast and fun — just like our airport experience. Or you can opt to cover just one lap during our fun, 1-mile Family Walk!

Whichever event you choose, a portion of the proceeds will help support our USO, which is celebrating 20 years of assisting service members and their families at ONT. Over four years, ONT’s 5K at the Runway has raised $168,771 to help our USO improve the lives of the tens of thousands of service members and their families who come through our airport each year.

Even if you don’t hit the course, the whole community is invited to our free Community Event from 9 to 11 a.m. in the National Guard Hangar. The hangar has been used for everything from filming to swanky mixer events. During this event, our hangar will be transformed into a space for community members to learn about the people who run the airport, meet the ONT Paw Squad, indulge at food trucks, hang in the biergarten, enjoy kid’s activities and so much more. Invite the whole family for a day of fun and get to know the community that supports Ontario International Airport.

We’ll see you at the runway!
