About this race
Free to Move: 5K Run for Alyssa is a tribute to Alyssa Lokits, who was tragically taken from us on October 14, 2024, while running in Nashville, TN. Alyssa embodied vigilance and preparedness-- trained in self-defense, running during daylight on a well-traveled trail. Yet her loss serves as a sobering reminder of how far we have to go to ensure women's safety.
This event is more than a race-- it's a united call for change.
