🏞️ Pocahontas Trail Fest 10k and 1/2 Marathon

🅿️ Parking Information

• Fee: The park requires a regular fee if you don't have a state park permit.
• Cost: All-day parking access is currently $10 per car load.
• Payment: While cards are accepted, cash is the fastest method for entry.
• Location: Parking is available near the pool parking lot/boat launch.

⏰ Race Day Details

• Check-in: October 5, from 7:30 AM to 9 AM at the staging area.
• Timing Chip: Your race number will have a timing chip on the back.
• Visibility: Please do not fold or remove the chip and ensure your race number is visible throughout the event.
• Photo Tags: Proper placement of your number helps with tagging photos to your result link.

🏅 Award Breakdown

The following will be awarded race day for the 10k and 1/2 Marathon for males and females:

• 19 and under: Awards for this age group.
• 20-29: Awards for this age group.
• 30-39: Awards for this age group.
• 40-49: Awards for this age group.
• 50-59: Awards for this age group.
• 60 and over: Awards for this age group.

🏞️ Course Information

The course has been redesigned to improve the trail racing experience:

• New Design: The course includes newly built hiking trails.
• Race Layout: The 10k and 1/2 marathon will share the first 10k of the course.
• Scenic Views: More picturesque views during the race.
• Trail Conditions: The newest trails are very runnable with good footing.

💧 On-course Aid

• Aid Stations: Will be located approximately at 3, 6, and 9 miles.
• Bathrooms: Two indoor bathrooms are available near the start/finish.
• Location: One bathroom is behind the soda machines: the other is near shelter #2.
• Accessibility: Convenient locations for restroom access.
