🏃‍♂️ The Angry Chicken Race Series

It's not summer without the Angry Chicken Race Series!

📅 Race Information

• Distance: 2.62 miles – a tenth of a marathon!
• Course: Runners go counter-clockwise (against traffic) on the loop portion of the course.
• Schedule: Races run each Tuesday evening starting at 7PM (early start at 6:50), from June 9th to August 11th (eight races).
• Scoring: 1000 points to the race winner, with others earning a percentage based on finish time.

🎽 Registration Details

• Sign-up: Register for all 8 races before June 1st to receive a free race t-shirt!
• Themes: Each race will have a theme, with a small prize for the best costume!
• Facebook: Join our Facebook group to help choose the themes: Facebook Group.
• Exclusions: Note: there will be no race June 30th or July 28th.

📍 Location and Bib Pick-up

• Start/End Point: The races begin and end at the S-curve at the entrance to the Riverwalk (at the end of River Place road).
• Bib Pick-up: Tuesdays from 6:00 to 6:45 PM at Marx Running and Fitness, 118 Merrimack Street in downtown Lowell.
• Cost: $10 per race online or $70 for the whole series: $12 for in-person registration using cash/check.

💖 Charity and Donations

• Beneficiary: Donations benefit Catie's Closet, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
• Mission: Provides clothes, toiletries, and essentials to students living in poverty.
• Final Race Collection: On August 11th, we will collect new and gently used youth/teen clothing and full-sized toiletries.
