The Lake Cumberland Half & 10K gives you the chance to challenge yourself and help build safe, affordable housing right here in Pulaski County.
The Journey
- Event: The Lake Cumberland Half is a 13.1-mile point-to-point race benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County, Kentucky.
- Start: You’ll start on the Houseboat Capital of the World Bridge in Bronston.
- Route: Cross over beautiful Lake Cumberland and run through Burnside and Ferguson.
- Finish: Finish strong in Somerset at Somerset Community College.
The 10K begins on Jacksboro Street in Ferguson and follows the half marathon route all the way to the same finish line.
Every mile you run helps build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

- Race Day: Saturday, September 12, 2026
- Half Marathon: (13.1 miles) Start Line: Bronston, KY – Hwy 90 Bridge, Start Time: 7:30 AM
- 10K: Start Line: Jacksboro St., Ferguson, Start Time: 8:30 AM
- Finish Line: Somerset Community College, 808 Monticello St, Somerset, KY
Parking available at SCC (Meece Lot). Transportation provided to both start lines.
Packet Pickup
- Date: Friday, September 11, 2026
- Location: Somerset Community College
- Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM OR race morning from 6:00 AM – 6:50 AM
- Note: No registration, parking, or packet pickup at either start line.

The room block typically opens closer to race day, and we’ll send an email with booking details as soon as it becomes available so you can lock in your stay.

Top 3 Overall Male & Female.
Top 3 in Age Groups: 10 & under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+
Half Marathon participants receive a performance race shirt and a 5” finisher medal. 10K participants receive a race shirt and a 4” finisher medal.
(Shirts and medals guaranteed through registration deadline. Limited extras available while supplies last.)
Race Day Guidelines
- Parking: ONLY at Somerset Community College, NO parking at either start line.
- Transportation: Provided to both race starts. Half Marathon buses: approx. 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM: 10K buses: approx. 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM.
- Animals: No dogs or animals allowed on the course.
- Course: This is NOT a closed course. Be mindful of traffic: headphones/earbuds are discouraged for safety.
Half Marathon time limit: 3 hours 30 minutes. Final cutoff for both races: 11:00 AM. A sweeper vehicle will follow the course. If needed, transportation will be provided back to the finish.

To keep the event safe and traffic flowing, there will be rolling cutoffs at aid stations:
- Aid Station 1: (~2.5 mi): 8:10 AM
- Aid Station 2: (~5.3 mi): 8:55 AM
- Aid Station 3: (~8.1 mi): 9:40 AM
- Aid Station 4: (~9.8 mi): 10:07 AM
- Aid Station 5: (~11.6 mi): 10:36 AM
Weather Policy
This is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of lightning, the race may be delayed or canceled for safety. All registrations are non-refundable.
