The Lake Cumberland Half & 10K Race Description

Overview

• Race Type: The Lake Cumberland Half is a 13.1 mile point to point race.
• Beneficiary: Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County Kentucky.
• Location: Begins at Bronston, KY on the Houseboat Capital of the World Bridge, crossing beautiful Lake Cumberland.
• Ending Point: The race concludes at Somerset Community College.

10K Details

• Location: Starts on Jacksboro St. in Ferguson.
• Route: Follows along the Half Marathon route to the finish line at Somerset Community College.

Race Day Information

• Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025.
• Half Marathon Start Time: 7:30 A.M.
• 10K Start Time: 8:30 A.M.

Logistics

• Packet Pickup: Friday night (September 19, 2025) at SCC from 5 P.M. - 7 P.M. or from 6 A.M. on race day.
• Parking: Available at Somerset Community College (808 Monticello St, Somerset, KY).
• Transportation: Provided between the start and finish line for both races.

Awards

• Categories: Top 3 Overall Male & Female.
• Age Groups: 10 and under: 11-14: 15-19: 20-29: 30-39: 40-49: 50-59: 60-69: 70+.
• Half-Marathon Finishers: Receive a Sport-Tek PosiCharge Tri-Blend Wicking Raglan Tee and a 5" Finisher's Medal.
• 10K Finishers: Receive a T-Shirt and a 4” finisher's medal.

Important Reminders

• Registration: Non-refundable: race will proceed rain or shine: cancellation may occur due to lightning.
• Packet Pickup: At SCC only on specified dates: no pickup at starting line.
• Transportation: Provided from finish line to starting line: buses leave at designated times.
• Course Safety: The course is not closed. Headphones/earbuds are discouraged.

Time Limits

• Half Marathon Cut-off: 3 hours 30 minutes: cut-off time is 11:00 A.M.
• Aid Station Cut-offs:
•  : - Aid station 1: 40 min - 8:10 a.m.
•  : - Aid station 2: 1 hr 25 min - 8:55 a.m.
•  : - Aid station 3: 2 hrs 10 min - 9:40 a.m.
•  : - Aid station 4: 2 hrs 37 min - 10:07 a.m.
•  : - Aid station 5: 3 hours 6 min - 10:36 a.m.
• Sweeper Vehicle: Will assist those unable to complete in the allotted time.
