Description

• Join Us: Kick off the Traffic Jam'in Festival with a flat, scenic 5k run and 5k walk around the lake and nearby neighborhood.
• Finish Line: Conclude your race in front of our community Events Park Pavilion while enjoying live music!
• Refreshments: Water stations at the halfway mark and refreshments, including an award ceremony following the 5K.
• Music: Enjoy music on the course!

Times

• 5k Run and Walk: Start time is 7:30 pm
• Mile Start Time: 7 pm
• Packet Pickup: Early on July 9th from 4-8pm, Race day from 5 to 6:30 pm
• Pre-registration: Required, no on-site race day registration.

Pricing

• 5K Run/Walk: Pricing is $20 (valid 1/1 to 1/15): increases to $25 until 5/10, $30 until 7/5, and $35 from 7/6 to race day.
• 1 Mile Family Fun Run: Cost is $5
• Team Discount: Form a team of 4 or more for a $5 per person discount starting after New Year pricing.
• T-shirts: Tech style t-shirts available, guaranteed for registrations received by 6/19.

Awards

• Medals: All 5K finishers receive medals and a complimentary beverage.
• Overall Awards: Top male and female finishers in Open, Masters, and Senior Masters categories will be recognized.
• Age Group Awards: Awards for top 3 in each age group, crafted by local artisans.

Miscellaneous

• Homemade Treats: Enjoy local homemade treats after the races, including cookies which were a huge hit last year!
• Parking: Participants and festival guests can park in designated locations.
• Special Parking: Provided for event participants by our Title Sponsor - The Lost Railway Museum.
• Dogs: Please note there are no dogs permitted at this event, service dogs excluded.

Timing

• Professional Timing: The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
• Live Results: Results will be live during the race and posted on the race site.
