🏃‍♂️ About the Race

• Event: Join us for a fun-run sponsored by the Alexandria Foundation.
• Mission: Our 501(C)(3) foundation awards scholarships annually and has supported educational initiatives for students in the greater Houston area for over 25 years.
• Proceeds: A portion of the net proceeds from this year's event will be donated towards initiatives that battle Sickle Cell and Sickle Cell Trait Awareness.
• Importance: Sickle cell disease (SCD) and sickle cell trait research and treatment have historically faced deficits in funding, research prioritization, and accessibility of care compared to other illnesses.

📅 Date and Location

• Date: Our run will be on Saturday, April 19th, 2025.
• Location: Brazos River Park in Sugar Land, TX.
• Open to: The event is open to the public (men, women, and children).
• Special Feature: This isn't your traditional 5K run - we've added an extra 1K in honor of the year Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc was founded 1906 - ('06).

🥇 Registration Details

• Included: This '06K Race registration includes a '06K numbered bib, a commemorative medal, and other surprises from our sponsors and supporters.
• Awards: Top finishers will also be awarded based on their registration class.
• Walking Option: If you aren't up for running - WALK - in support of the efforts of our organization.
• Support: There will be volunteers available to assist you along the way.
