• Change of Venue: This year’s race will be at the old Boaz Rec Center.

• Note: Paving project at the new Boaz Rec Center.

About Second Chance Shelter

• Organization: A non-profit, no-kill dog shelter.
• Founded: Established by Doug and Wanda McGee in 2008.
• Capacity: They care for over 250 dogs at a time.
• Contribution: Donations help provide quality care for dogs before adoption.

Race Details

• Start/Finish: Both races begin and end at the old Boaz Recreation Center.
• Water Stations: Available along the route.
• Medals: Finisher medals for all participants.
• Awards: Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each age group.

Registration Information

• Deadline: Register by Sunday, October 26, 2025 for guaranteed shirt and medal.
• No Refunds: The event will be held rain or shine.
• Packet Pickup: Available on November 19, 20, and 21 at designated locations.
• Race Day Pickup: Saturday, November 22 from 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM at the race location.

Course Certification and Age Groups

• Course: The race course is certified.
• Age Groups: Categories include 12 & under: 13-19: 20-29: 30-39: 40-49: 50-59: 60-69: 70 & over.
• Administration: Managed by the Boaz Parks and Recreation Department.
• Participant Experience: Join us for an enjoyable run through the Boaz area.
