🏃‍♂️ $5K Race Overview

• Purpose: The $5K is designed as a low-key race for the athlete who wants to run a tune-up race to prepare for their targeted event, the novice who may be intimidated by larger events, and runners/walkers who want an event to test themselves without breaking the bank.
• Monthly Races: Each monthly race is geared to give you, the runner, a chance to test your abilities, concentrate on your technique, and converse with other people in the running community without feeling overwhelmed.
• Official Timing: We keep it small while still providing you with an official chip-timed 5K event!
• Competition: For those wanting a little more competition, the $5K Race Series includes one 5K per month from April to October.

💵 Cost Information

• Entry Fee: $5.00. No TCTC discount. No refunds, transfers, or deferrals allowed for this race.
• Cancellation Policy: In the event the race should be cancelled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Directors, they will do their best to reschedule the affected race(s) for the following Tuesday.
• No Pets: Participants will not be issued a bib and/or will be disqualified if pets are present.
• Headphones: Discouraged - talk to your fellow runners! Most of them are actually nice!

🚼 Stroller Policy

• Strollers Allowed: Strollers are allowed but please start in the back of the pack. It's chip-timed, so you can pass on the greenway!
• Race Cap: Registration for this race is limited to 150 participants. After that, a wait list goes into effect.
• Notification: You will receive an email from the wait list and will then have 24 hours to register for the race.
• Day of Registration: Race Day registration is available only through participant devices. No registration kiosks will be available at the race.
