City/County Youth Running Club Track Meet

🏃‍♂️ Event Eligibility

Only open to current members of the City of Winchester Parks & Recreation HIVE Running Club & Frederick County Parks & Recreation Spring Running Club.

🎉 Event Details

• Excitement: Get ready for a fun showdown as the City of Winchester Parks & Recreation Running Club and the Frederick County Parks & Recreation Running Club kiddos lace up their sneakers for a thrilling track meet!
• Events: We will feature several events including the 200m, 400m, 800m, Softball Throw and a relay to cap off the evening!
• Start Time: Our first race will kick off around 6:00 PM.
• Heats: The number of heats per event will depend on how many athletes show up to compete.

📍 Location and Parking

• Venue: Shenandoah University Track.
• Parking: Parking will be available in the garage by the track - please don't park in the Physical Plant Parking lot.
• Seating: Since there are no bleachers, be sure to bring a chair for your cheering squad!

🕔 Check-In Information

• Check-In Begins: Check-in starts at 5:30 PM.
• Race Bib: When you arrive, please check-in at the table to receive a race bib.
• Event Participation: Let the staff know which events your child definitely wants to participate in.
• Relay Team: If you’ve already got a relay team in mind, give us a heads up so we can make it happen! Each team will consist of 4 athletes, each doing a 100m dash.
• Groups: We will also inform you if you are in group 1 or 2 for the field events.
