Event Overview

We are excited for our 4th annual Larry Prout Jr (The Bear) Courage Fund 5k and 1 mile run/walk fundraiser! This year's race will be held on Saturday, July 25th.

Beneficiary

• Proceeds: Proceeds from this event assist University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital families whose loved ones are enduring complex medical issues.
• Support: Funds help families with gas, food, utilities, clothes, emergency auto and home repairs, and many other basic necessities.
• Impact: These necessities become hardships when a family is facing the medical crisis of a loved one.

Pricing

5K

• Advance Pricing: $30 until July 12th.
• Late Pricing: $35 from 7/13 to 7/24.
• Day of Registration: $40 on race day. Online registration only on race day.

Family/Friends Special Pricing

• Discount: $3/person discount when registering 3 or more people at the same time.
• Eligibility: Discount automatically applied during registration.
• Valid For: Valid only for the 5K. Valid until 7/12.

1 Mile

• Advance Pricing: $25 until 7/12.
• Late Pricing: $30 from 7/13 to 7/24.
• Day of Registration: $35 on race day. Online registration only on race day.

T-shirts

T-shirts are guaranteed with entry by end of day July 12th. Supplies available as they last after that date.

Race Course

This year we'll be at the Pinckney High School complex. It features a beautiful course. More details coming soon.

Packet Pickup

Race Day: Jul 25th, 8:00 am to 9:50 am at the Registration/Check-in Tent. Race packets include: event and sponsor information, race t-shirt, and bib.

Virtual Runners

Register by July 12th to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Price is $30. Your packet (including t-shirt and event and sponsor information) will be mailed as the race approaches. You can post your results by going to the results tab at the top of the page and selecting virtual results. Results must be submitted by August 1st.

Results

Live Updates: Results will be live during the race and posted on this website. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
