This annual chip-timed one mile race for all ages is in it’s historic 41st running as a kick-off to Highland’s Twilight Independence Day Parade.

USATF certified one-mile course IN24004TDK.
🏆 Awards and Prizes
- Top Finishers: The top overall male and female, top male and female masters (40 and over), top three finishers in each age division, top three Clydesdales (men 210 LBS and over) and top three Athenas (women 170 LBS and over) receive awards.
- One Award: Participants can only receive one award.
- Fastest Miles: The male that runs the fastest sub 4-minute mile and female that runs the fastest sub 4:50 mile will each receive $1,000.
- Event Series: This race is a Calumet Striders Gold Cup Series Event!
👥 Age Groups
Age groups are as follows: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
📍 Race Route
The race will begin at the intersection of 40th and Kennedy Ave. in Highland. It will continue north on Kennedy Ave. to Highway Ave. where it will turn east and finish at Main Square Park.
💵 Registration Information
- Pre-Registered Fee: Pre-registered through July 2nd - $15 (Register early to guarantee a shirt)
- Race Day Fee: Race day registration - $20 (Cash and check only)
- Packet Pick Up: Race day registration and packet pick up will be from 5PM - 6:15PM at the school administration building (9145 Kennedy Ave).
