Bayou Bash Relay

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 2025 Bayou Bash Relay will be on Sunday, April 27th at TC Jester Park.

The race is a 4 person x 2.2 mile relay. The course is a single loop on the paved and crushed granite trails within the park.

The relay will be the penultimate race of the HARRA Spring Series.

🏅 Race Divisions

• Open Male / Open Female: All competitors welcome.
• Open Mixed: 2M & 2F required.
• Masters Male / Masters Female: Competitors aged 40+.
• Juniors: 18 and under, any combination: categories will be organized based on registrations.

Teams with 3/1 mix will be placed in the men's division of that age category.

🏆 Awards

Awards will be provided to the top 3 finishing teams in each division.

The race is open to all - all teams are eligible for race awards - but only teams with all members with current membership in HARRA will count toward the HARRA Club and Team Competitions.

🎉 New Odds & Ends Division

For teams with less than 4 runners: Teammates may run multiple legs. This is a non-competitive division that will receive a time but not be eligible for race awards.

📝 Entry Fees

• Before Race Day: $80 per team - $1 discount per HARRA member.
• Race Day: $100 - no HARRA discount: registration starts at 2:30 PM.
• Junior Teams: $40 for teams with participants under 18.
• Note: Entry fees are non-refundable.

🚀 Registration Instructions

The first person of the team to register will start a new team and be the administrator (Team Captain). They will set a password and pay for the entire team.

The Team Captain has the option to register all other runners at the same time or allow them to register individually using the password.

🍔 Post-Race Festivities

Following the relay, the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA) will be providing food, drink, and beer for the end-of-the-year family picnic!
