Full Moon 5k

🌕 Race Course Overview

• Illumination: This course traverses through the woods on paved roads, bike trails, and a well-maintained gravel road that is completely illuminated by tiki torches and moonlight.
• Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit Patoka Lake’s educational birds of prey program. With your help, we can support the lives of these non-releasable ambassadors used in educational programming.
• Race Time: Arrive at the beach no later than 8:30 p.m. as the race begins at 9:30 p.m.
• T-shirt Guarantee: T-shirt is guaranteed if registered by June 16th.

💲 Registration Price

• Early Registration: $25 - April 21st - June 16th (t-shirt included)
• Late Registration: $35 - June 17th - August 8th (t-shirt not guaranteed)

📅 Onsite Registration and Packet Pick-up

• Date: Friday August 8th
• Time: 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Patoka Lake Nature Center and from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the beach.
• Pre-registration: Pre-registration is preferred!

🏆 Awards

• Overall Winners: Awards will be given to overall male and female winners.
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female winners in age groups: 14 and under, 15 -19, 20 -29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.

🚗 Recreation Area Entrance Fee

• Participants: Race participant’s vehicle entrance fees are waived.
• Other Vehicles: All other vehicles will pay the $7 entrance fee: $9 for out of state vehicles.

❌ Cancellation Policy

• No Refunds: In the event of cancellation, no refunds will be made.
• Entry Transfer: Entries are not transferable or exchangeable.

• Facilities: There are onsite shower houses and restrooms.
• Camping: Camping is available onsite.

🏨 Lodging Options

• Campgrounds: Campgrounds are available onsite.
• Cabins: Cabins are available locally.
• Nearby Lodging: Other lodging is available in the cities of Jasper (19 miles west) and French Lick (17 miles north).

• Activities: Boating, skiing, fishing, kayaking, archery, hiking trails, fitness trail, 6-mile paved bike trail, disc golf course, & more.

• Location: The race will be held at Patoka Lake, 3084 N. Dillard Rd., Birdseye, IN 47513.
• Town: However, the town where we are actually located is Wickliffe, IN.
