This nighttime course winds through scenic woodland paths, featuring paved roads, bike trails, and a well-lit gravel road illuminated by tiki torches and moonlight.
All race proceeds directly support Patoka Lake's birds of prey educational program, helping care for non-releasable wildlife ambassadors.
Event starts around 9 p.m. at the beach, depending on when the sun sets. Please arrive no later than 8 p.m. to check in and receive your bib. Register by August 7th to guarantee your race t-shirt!
Friday, August 28th from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Patoka Lake Nature Center and from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the beach. Pre-registration is preferred!
Awards will be given to overall male and female winners and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female winners of the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 -19, 20 -29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Race participant’s vehicle entrance fees are waived. All other vehicles will pay the $7 entrance fee or $15 for out-of-state vehicles.
In the event of cancellation, no refunds will be made. Entries are not transferable or exchangeable.
Campgrounds are available onsite. Cabins are available locally. Other lodging is available in the cities of Jasper (19 miles west) and French Lick (17 miles north).
Boating, skiing, fishing, kayaking, archery, hiking trails, fitness trail, 6-mile paved bike trail, disc golf course, & more.
The race will be held at Patoka Lake, 3084 N. Dillard Rd. Birdseye, IN 47513. However, the town where we are actually located is Wickliffe, IN. GPS and MapQuest directions are usually accurate in locating the property using the address above.
