City of Westlake Community Run

FOURTH ANNUAL WESTLAKE COMMUNITY RUN

The City of Westlake Community Run is a special event for the whole family, being hosted by the Recreation Department and held in conjunction with the Annual Safety & Wellness Day. Come out and enjoy a run or walk through the beautiful City of Westlake and then stay for the Fair! Race begins and ends on the Recreation Center Campus. There will be a timed 5K Run and Speed Walking Division along with an untimed 1-Mile Walk beginning at 8:30 am. We are also hosting a Kids Dash, which is free for those 8 years old and under. This dash will kick off at 8:15 am before the main race. Event goodie bags guaranteed for the first 200 registered for the main run/walk. All Kids Dash participants will receive a race medal. There will be post-race refreshments, fruit, raffle prizes, and awards pick-up at the DJ booth.

Pancake Breakfast

Again this year, we are hosting a pancake breakfast from 9 am to 11 am following the race. Each paid registration comes with a free ticket, and all children 5 & under are free: additional tickets can be purchased for $8. Race raffle prize winners will be announced during the pancake breakfast.

Event Features

• Inflatable: Enjoy an inflatable for fun post-race entertainment.
• DJ: Music and announcements throughout the event.
• Safety & Wellness Fair: Starting at 10:00 am at the Westlake Recreation Center, hosted by University Hospitals and the City of Westlake.

Top overall male & female as well as 5K racers finishing in the top three in each age group.

• Age Groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over.
• Speed Walk: Top 3 men and top 3 women overall, no age groups.
