Running the Shores - Jack and Jill Foundation Fundraiser

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

On Sunday, September 7th, the Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Erie Shores Chapter will be “Running the Shores” in our second annual 5K Run/Walk, benefitting the Jack and Jill of America Foundation and American Sickle Cell Anemia Association (ASCAA). We invite friends, family, and the community to take the plunge with us for a day of friendly competition for a cause. The American Sickle Cell Anemia Association will also be on site providing information and free sickle cell trait testing. Check-in and onsite registration will open at 8:00 am, followed by recognition of the supported organizations, and a special presentation honoring the late Dr. Edgar Jackson, pioneer of sickle cell research. Racers will set sails at 9:00 am from Edgewater Park, where both individuals and teams are welcome.

• Adults (Age 13 and older): $35.00
• Age 12 and under: $15.00

• Overall Winners: Award given to Top Overall Male and Female runners.
• Age Group Awards: Top three finishers in each age group will receive awards.
• Age Groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

🌍 Virtual Run

• Participation: Want to participate from out of town? Complete the 5K race or 1 mile walk on your own.
• Submission: If you would like to submit your 5K result, please click HERE! Deadline to submit times is Tuesday October 1, 2025.
• Mailing: Virtual event participants will be mailed their shirt after September 7, 2025.

Dogs are allowed but we ask that you line up in the back and have a short leash.
