OhioGuidestone's biennial Promise Run is back at Wallace Lake!

Why We Run

• Purpose: We run for those who are forging new life paths with the help of OhioGuidestone.
• Commitment: We run because we are committed to mental health and well-being.
• Empowerment: We run because our programs are the keys to surviving — to thriving.
• First Steps: We run because every success story began with a first step.

Where We Run

• Event Options: Join us in a 5k, 10k, or 1-mile run/walk to benefit the individuals OhioGuidestone serves.
• Participation: Each registered participant will receive a run bag with a Promise Run t-shirt and a complimentary smoothie following the race.
• Post-Run Fun: Stick around for delicious food from local food trucks and family-friendly jams.
• Inclusivity: Bring the whole family (strollers and pets are welcome) or come solo - we can't wait to see you once again at Wallace Lake!

Registration Fees

• Pre-Registration: (now through August 31st) - 10k - $35, 5k - $35, 1mi - $30
• Group Registration: for 4 or more: 10k - $25/each, 5k - $25/each, 1mi - $20/each
• Late Registration: & Day-of (Sept 1st-14th) - 10k - $40, 5k - $40, 1mi - $35
• Opt-Out Option: Option to "opt-out" of receiving a Promise Run t-shirt to save $5 is available for all pre-registered participants.

Start Times

• 10k: starts at 8:30 am
• 5k & 1-mile: starts at 9:00 am
• Check-in: Opens at 7:30 am: please allow extra time before your run starts to check in and collect your run packet.

Packet Pickup

• Dates: Available for pick-up the week before the run on Wednesday, September 11th from 4-6 pm and Thursday, September 12th from 5-7 pm.
• Location: OhioGuidestone's Donation Center, 434 Eastland Rd, Berea, OH 44017.
• Day-of Pickup: Opens at 7:30 am: please allow extra time for this process.

Virtual Run/Walk

• Participation: If you are unable to join on September 14th, you can still participate virtually on your own time.
• Group Runs: Organize a group run/walk in your locality, and contact Molly Martens at molly.martens@ohioguidestone.org for publicity.
• Run Bag: Your run bag with your Promise Run t-shirt may be available for pick-up or can be shipped for an additional cost.

Timing Method

• 10k and 5K: Chip timed
• 1 Mile: Untimed

Awards

• 10k: Top 3 Male, Top 3 Female & Top 3 Non-Binary Overall (9 awards total).
• Masters: Top Male, Female & Non-Binary “Masters” in 65+ age group (3 awards total).
• Juniors: Top Male, Female & Non-Binary “Juniors” for 12 & under (3 awards total).
• 5k: Similar prizes as 10k overall and age group awards.
