Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
Honor: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

Event Overview: This will be our 4th year in McDonough, GA, and we are excited to once again bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.
Event Details
Date: September 12, 2026
Location: Starting at McDonough Police Department, 50 Lawrenceville Street.
Parking: Available at the parking deck across the street.
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) event to walk or run.
Packet Pick-Up
Location: NewSole Running, 20 Macon St, McDonough, GA 30253.
Time: 10:30 AM - 6 PM.
Race Day: Packets can also be picked up at the race location on the 7th.
Registration: Yes, registration will open at 7:00 AM the morning of the run.
Registration Information
Online Registration: Will remain open until race day registration is closed.
Bib Number: Please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Fast Runners: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral.
Awards: Most awards are based on firefighters, police, or military running in gear.
Event Logistics
Water Stations: A water station will be available along the route and at the start/finish line.
Items Allowed: Strollers, wheelchairs, and firefighter turnout gear are permitted.
Registration Fee: Does not count toward fundraising goals.
Packet Pick-Up: Someone else can pick up your packet with your registration receipt.
Fundraising and Donations
Post-Race Donations: Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.
Sponsorship: Send all sponsorship correspondence to McDonough@t2t.org.
Goods and Services: Contact us at McDonough@t2t.org if you would like to donate.
Fundraising for Participants: Instructions to create your fundraising page will be provided upon registration.
Offline Donations
Offline Contribution: Mail checks payable to Tunnel to Towers Foundation to Thomas Mazza, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
Registration Transfer: Yes, registration can be transferred to another participant.
Refund Policy: We do not provide refunds for the event.

Additional Information
Receipts: Registrants should automatically receive a receipt when registering online.
Medical Staff: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team on site.
