Historic Drawbridge Running Festival

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

• Course Quality: We can't wait to show off one of Maryland's FLATTEST courses, with our Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5k events.
• Location: The race takes place in beautiful Talbot County, starting from 213 North Talbot Street, St Michaels, MD.
• Course Certification: ALL COURSES ARE USATF CERTIFIED COURSES!!!

📅 Date and Start

• Event Day: The Historic Drawbridge Running Festival will take place on Saturday, November 8th, 2025.
• Race Start Time: The event will start from the Wylder Hotel on Tilghman Island at 8 AM.
• Early Arrival: All runners must be on site at the start by 7:45 AM.
• Crossing the Mat: Runners will be allowed to cross the mat within the first 5 minutes for proper distancing.

🏅 Course Details

• Half Marathon: The half will navigate from Tilghman Island, straight up Route 33 to St Michaels, with a straight run of 13.1 miles.
• Full Marathon: The full marathon will follow the same course, turning right on Bozman-Neavitt Rd and traveling through tiny Bozman.
• 5K Event: Our 5k event starts and finishes from the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, running 1.55 miles out and back.
• Aid Stations: Aid stations will be located along the course for hydration and nutrition needs.

🚌 Transportation

• Buses Available: We encourage participants to take advantage of the buses at the Maritime Museum on race morning to transport you to the start line at the Wylder Hotel.
• Finish Location: Your vehicle will be available for you upon your finish at the Maritime Museum entrance.
• Traffic Control: Traffic will be briefly shut down on the Island to ensure the safety of all runners.
• Crossing Drawbridges: Runners will cross the FIRST OF TWO DRAWBRIDGES on MD Route 33.

⏳ Time Limits

• Cutoff Time: There is an eight (8) hour cutoff for the marathon and half marathon.
• Flexible Pace: This allows participants to move at an 18 min 30 second pace, perfect for recovering runners or those pushing their limits.
• Completion Time: Our marathon friends will have a whopping 8 hours to complete the event!
