Houston Heights Fun Run: 5K, 10K and Kids 1K

🏃‍♀️ The Houston Heights Fun Run

This year marks the 40th annual Heights Fun Run hosted by the Houston Heights Association. The Houston Heights Fun Run will be held on Saturday October 11th, 2025! The event started in 1985 and despite everything, has not missed a year!

🌟 Event Information

• Date: Saturday, October 11th, 2025
• Location: Marmion Park, 1800 Heights Boulevard, Houston TX 77008
• Hybrid Event: In-Person & Virtual 5K, 10K, and Kids 1K Race
• Community Support: Enjoy the summer weather and support the Houston Heights Association!

📅 Race Day Schedule

• 5:30AM: Last minute packet pick up @ Marmion
• 6:45AM: Pre-Race Stretching begins @ Starting Line hosted by a Special Guest!
• 7:00AM: Competitive Events - 10K/5K Run begins @ Starting Line
• 8:00AM: Kids 1K begins @ Starting Line

🏁 Race Day Groups (5K/10K Run)

• Start Time: 5K/10K Competitive runs will start at the same time.
• Groups: Signs at the START for Groups based on estimated Mile Pace.
• Signage: Look for signage to help guide you.

🏞️ Course Information

• 1K Route: Starts at Marmion Park, turns around at 15th Street.
• 5K Route: Starts at Marmion Park, turns around at 5th Street.
• 10K Route: Is the 5K Route TWICE.
• Traffic Control: Boulevard will be closed to passing traffic with patrolling constables.

🎖️ Awards

• Time: Awards will be handed out at the After-Party starting at 8:30AM.
• Categories: Top 3 Male & Female Finishers of each age group in the 5K and 10K Runs.
• Kids 1K Awards: Top 3 Male and Female finishers will receive awards (no age groups).

🏅 Packet Pick Up Information

• Pick Up Date: TBD - Historic Firehouse, 107 W 12th Street, Houston TX 77008.
• Shirt Deadline: Shirt Guarantee deadline is September 26th.
• Registration: Registrations after this date may not get the ordered size.

🎉 After Party Information

• Location: Mindfully spaced After-Party at Marmion Park.
• Vendors: Local community vendors and sponsors will be present.

However, due to the current status of Special Permits for the City of Houston, the location MAY be moved. Rest assured the Fun Run WILL happen, but we are modifying and updating constantly.
