Event Details

• Date: Saturday, August 8th
• Time: 9:00 AM
• Location: Rotary Park (OSU-Newark/COTC Campus) - 925 Sharon Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055
• Registration: Race day registration and Packet pickup will begin at 7:30 AM

Participation

• Participants: Runners and walkers of all skill levels welcome!
• Virtual Option: You can also sign up virtually.
• Support: All proceeds will support courageous children and their families in their battle against childhood cancer.
• Motto: Help Take the Sting OUT of Childhood Cancer!

Packet Pick-up & Race Day Registration

• Start Time: Pick up begins at 7:30 AM on race day.
• Location: Rotary Park OSU-Newark/COTC Shelter House.
• Check-In: Ensure you have all your materials before the race starts.
• On-Site Registration: Available until the race starts.

Race Course

• Starting Point: Participants will start at the Rotary Park.
• Course Type: A paved course alongside OSU-Newark/COTC campus.
• Path: The course continues over SR 16, near Raccoon Creek.
• Scenery: Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the campus area.

Awards

• Finishers’ Medals: Awarded to all 5K participants.
• Overall Awards: Trophies for Top 3 males and Top 3 females.
• Age Group Medals: Top 3 males and females in age groups: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
• Walkers: Walkers are also welcome!

Race Results

• Instant Results: Available immediately via text and email for those who opt-in.
• On-Site Results: Instant results will be available at the Results Kiosks.
• Website Results: Also available on the race website.
• Stay Informed: Make sure to check for updates post-race.

Race Packets and Finish Line Perks

• Packet Inclusions: Custom t-shirt, race bib, and sponsor items.
• refreshments: Water and snacks will be available at the finish line.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Registered participants by July 22nd are guaranteed a t-shirt.
• Extra T-Shirts: Available on a first-come, first-served basis on race day.

• 5K Race: $35 / Youth Pricing 14 & Under: $10
• 5K Fun Run/Walk: $35 / Youth Pricing 14 & Under: $10
• 5K Virtual: $35 / Youth Pricing 14 & Under: $10 - Shipping Included
• Note: Entry fees are non-refundable.

Refund Policy

• Conditions: If an in-person race cannot be held for any reason, including pandemic or weather, registrations will convert to a virtual event.
• No Rescheduling: There will be no rescheduling: updates will be posted on the race website.
