Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
Honoring Heroes: We honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 by supporting our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) to walk or run this event.
Participation: Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
Markers: There will be markers for the .5 mile, 1 mile, and 2 miles.
Where can I pick up my packet?
Location: Buick GMC Brooksville
Address: 15164 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34613
Date: Friday, November 7th from 4pm-6pm
Can I register the day of the run?
Registration Time: Yes. Registration will open at 7am the morning of the run.
Shirt Availability: If you wait to register until the day of the run, we may not have a shirt for you.
Timing: We do not guarantee sizes and your run/walk may not be timed for late registrants.
When does online registration close?
Closing Date: Online registration will remain open until November 8th, 2025 at 7:45 am.
T-Shirt and Swag: If you don’t register before this, you may not receive your t-shirt and any other race day swag.
Registration Reminder: Register early to secure your spot.
Do I have to wear my bib number?
Display Requirement: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Course Policy: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.
I am a fast runner. Can I get a front-line position?
Announcement: There will be an announcement for fast runners to come to the 'Start'.
First Responders: All First Responders will be corralled at the starting line at the beginning of the race.
Respect Positioning: We ask that their position be respected as all runners and walkers should be positioned behind them.
Timing: The race is a chipped event: therefore, times are calculated based on crossing the timing mat.
Will there be awards for running?
Award Categories: Yes, there will be awards for Fastest Firefighter in full gear, Fastest Police Officer in full gear, Fastest Female Overall, Fastest Male Overall, and Fastest Youth under 18U.
Finisher Medals: There will also be finisher medals for all participants.
Will water be available?
Water Stations: Yes, a water station will be available along the route.
Start/Finish Line: There will be water available at the start/finish line.
What can you bring to the event?
Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
Personal Items: Personal items should be stored securely at the owner's risk.
Responsibility: Tunnel to Towers Foundation will not be responsible for the loss of any items.
Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?
Fundraising: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Authorized Pickup: Yes, they can. Be sure to bring their confirmation number.
Can I still donate to a team and/or individual after the start of the race?
Donation Timeline: Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.
How can my company/organization sponsor this event?
