Cake by the Lake 5K Run and Walks

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

• Date: Saturday, April 4, 2026
• Location: Liberty Park, Inverness, FL
• Events: 5K Run and One Mile Cakewalk
• Start Time: 5K starts at sunrise, followed by walkers

🌅 Race Details

• Course: Both events will take place on the Withlacoochee State Trail, along the shores of the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes.
• Finisher's Medals: Earn a unique medal and neck ribbon for participants.
• Awards: Unique cake plate age-level awards for the combined 5K races.
• Swag: Specially designed WST Cake By The Lake edition T-shirt available for purchase.

🎉 Participant Information

• Registration Fees: $10 for kids (up to 12), $15 for teens (13-17).
• Age Categories: Participants 18 and older are considered adults.
• Swag for Youth: Youth athletes will receive top shelf swag, including a heavy 3" full-color medal.
• Awards Eligibility: Youth participants eligible for age group awards and overall race awards.

• Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:30 a.m. on race day.
• Race Start: 7:30 a.m. SHARP!
• Flat Course: Well maintained and offers the potential for new PRs!
