• Starting Location: Start line at the green space at Marathon Ave and Edwards Ranch Rd.

About the Event

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor Stephen Siller, a firefighter who died on September 11, 2001.
• Mission: We honor those who lost their lives by supporting our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices.
• Community Impact: This marks the 7th year in Fort Worth, bringing the community together to honor first responders and remember 9/11.

Honoring Officer Garrett Hull

• End of Watch: September 14, 2018
• Service: Shot while attempting to arrest three serial robbers.
• Legacy: Remembered for his courage and dedication during his 17 years with the Fort Worth Police Department.
• Family Support: The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the Hull family’s mortgage as part of its Season of Hope program.

Event Participation

• Distance: 5K (3.1 miles) to walk or run. Everyone is welcome to participate.
• Packet Pickup: Luke’s Locker – Shops at Clearfork, 5255 Monahans Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76109. Open October 8th and 9th from 10am to 7pm.
• Day-of Registration: Open until 8:15 am on the day of the event.
• Bib Requirement: Display bib on the front of your outermost garment.

Event Logistics

• Front-Line Position: Runners with a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral.
• T-shirt: Participants who register before 9/21/2026 are guaranteed a shirt.
• Awards: Medals for top placements, finisher medals for all, and chip timing available.
• Water Stations: Available along the route and at the start/finish area.

General Information

• Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs allowed: leave personal items in your vehicle.
• Registration Fee: Does not count toward the fundraising goal.
• Packet Pickup by Others: Allowed with a copy of your registration receipt.
• Donations: Accepted through November 2026.

• No Refunds: No refunds will be provided regardless of circumstances.
• Event Status: This is a rain or shine event, except in unsafe weather conditions.

• Volunteer Registration: Go online to register as a volunteer.
• Volunteers Needed: Assistance is always appreciated on the day of the event.

Medical and Safety Information

• On-Site Medical Staff: Emergency Medical Service team will be available.
• Communication: Radio communication will be used to connect with EMS.
• Pets: No pets allowed: please leave them at home.

Running Awards

• Special Awards: Fastest firefighters, police officers, and servicemembers in full uniform.
• Ages 18 and Over: First, second, and third place awards for both men and women.
• Ages 13-17: First, second, and third place awards for boys and girls.
• Ages Under 12: First, second, and third place awards for boys and girls.
