The 2026 Tunnel to Towers Fort Worth Run & Walk will celebrate our 7th year in Fort Worth, returning to The Shops at Clearfork.

What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.
• Honoring Heroes: We honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, by supporting our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices.
• Community Involvement: This will be the 7th year in Fort Worth, and we are excited to once again bring together the community to honor first responders and military.

Honoring Officer Garrett Hull

• Service: Officer Garrett Hull was shot and killed while attempting to arrest three serial robbers on September 14, 2018.
• Career: He served in specialized tactical units, including the Special Response Team, Narcotics Division, and Tactical Intelligence Division.
• Legacy: A devoted husband, father, and sportsman, he is remembered for his courage and dedication.
• Support: In December 2018, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the Hull family’s mortgage as part of its Season of Hope program.

Event Details

• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles). Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
• Packet Pickup: Luke’s Locker – Shops at Clearfork 5255 Monahans Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76109. HOURS: 10am to 7pm Thursday and Friday, October 8th and 9th.
• Day of Registration: Yes, registration will remain open until 8:15 am on the day of the event.
• Online Registration: Online registration will close at 8:15 am on the morning of the event.

Participation Requirements

• Bib Number: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment. Running without a bib will result in disqualification.
• Front-Line Position: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early).
• T-shirt: Participants and volunteers who register before 9/21/2026 will be guaranteed a shirt.
• Awards: Top placement medals for select categories, finisher medals for all participants, and chip timing for those wanting a timed bib.

Additional Information

• Water Availability: Yes, a water station will be available along the route and at the start/finish area.
• Allowed Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Please leave personal items in your vehicle.
• Fundraising: Registration fee does not count towards fundraising goals, but participants can fundraise and donations are accepted through November 2026.

Volunteer Information

• To Volunteer: Go online to our registration site and Register as a Volunteer. Volunteers are always needed.
• Medical Staff: There will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.
• Pets: No, animals are not allowed to participate in this event.
• Registration Receipts: You will automatically receive a receipt when registering online.

Registration and Refund Policy

• Transfer Policy: You may transfer your registration to another participant by contacting fortworth@t2t.org before October 9th.
• Refund Policy: No refunds will be provided, regardless of circumstances.

Race Information

• Awards: Fastest firefighter, police officer, and military servicemember in full uniform: awards for top three in various age categories.
