The 2026 Tunnel to Towers Fort Worth Run & Walk will celebrate our 7th year in Fort Worth, returning to The Shops at Clearfork.

About the Race

The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running 3 miles through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. We honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, by supporting our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! This will be the 7th year in Fort Worth, and we are excited to once again bring together the community to honor first responders and military, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.

Honoring Officer Garrett Hull

Police Officer Garrett Hull: Fort Worth Police Department End of Watch: September 14, 2018.

• Incident: Officer Hull was shot and killed while attempting to arrest three serial robbers.
• Service: He served in specialized tactical units including the Special Response Team, Narcotics Division, and Tactical Intelligence Division.
• Legacy: Remembered for his courage and dedication: the Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the Hull family’s mortgage as part of its Season of Hope program.
• Family: A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and avid sportsman.

Event Details

• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles). Anyone can run, walk or experience this event.
• Packet Pickup: Luke’s Locker – Shops at Clearfork, 5255 Monahans Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76109: HOURS: 10am to 7pm Thursday and Friday, October 8th and 9th.
• Day of Registration: Yes, registration will remain open until 8:15 am on the morning of the event.
• Online Registration: Will remain open through the morning of the event and will close at 8:15 am.

Race Regulations

• Bib Number: Please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment: those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course.
• Front-Line Position: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early).
• T-Shirt Availability: All people who register to participate or volunteer before 9/21/2026 will be guaranteed a shirt.
• Awards: Top placement medals for select categories, finisher medals for all participants, chip timing offered.

Event Amenities

• Water Stations: A water station will be available along the route and at the start/finish area.
• Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle.
• Registration Fee: Does not count toward fundraising goal.
• Packet Pickup by Others: Yes, with a copy of your registration receipt.

Registration Transfers and Refunds

• Registration Transfer: Yes, before Thursday, October 9th by contacting fortworth@:t2t.org.
• Refund Policy: No refunds will be provided regardless of circumstances.
• Volunteering: Register as a Volunteer online, volunteers needed for the day of festivities.
• Medical Staff: Yes, an Emergency Medical Service team will be available on site.

Pet Policy

No, please leave your furry friends at home. Animals are not allowed to participate in this event.

Awards Categories

• Special Awards: Fastest Firefighter, Police Officer, and Military Servicemen in FULL UNIFORM - GEAR.
• Top Three Places: Awards for men and women aged 18 and over.
• Top Three Places: Awards for boys and girls aged 13-17 and under 12.
• Recognition: First, second, and third place will be awarded in each age group category.
