About this race
Event Overview
The 2026 Monster Dash is hosted by the Platteville Community Arboretum! This is a family-friendly event that includes runners and walkers of all abilities. A fun time for all!
Costume Encouragement
- Costumes are encouraged: It's mid-October and costumes are encouraged to be worn.
- Halloween-themed prizes: Prizes, shirts, and swag for all participants!
Run/Walk Details
- Trail Location: The entire run/walk will be on the Rountree Branch Trail!
- Start Time: The race will begin at 10 AM on the south side of Valley Road (near the Fish Garden on the trail).
- Parking Information: Parking available in the City Garage’s parking lot (890 Valley Road).
- Registration Tent: Look for the registration tent starting at 9 AM on the day of the event.
Prizes and Age Categories
- Age Categories: There are prizes for runners in age categories, by gender.
- Prize Variability: Prizes vary from year-to-year, but past ones have included gift cards and apple cider jugs.
T-Shirt Note
All registrations received by October 4th are guaranteed a T-shirt.
Registration Information
Online registration ENDS at 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 15th. After that, you can register in-person (by cash or VENMO) for $30 the day of the event starting at 9 AM on Saturday, October 17th.
