Race History
- Inception: The Skippo began in 2009 as a 20k trail race.
- Location: The race takes place in beautiful Castlewood State Park.
- Course: Features two 10k loops on a fairly flat course except for the famous stairs!
- Evolution: In 2011, a 10k and a 30k option were added to involve more runners.
Modern Day SKIPPO
- Two-Day Format: The race evolved into a two-day format to accommodate growth and popularity.
- Changes: In 2019, the 20k was changed to a Half-Marathon.
- Current Identity: The modern day SKIPPO was born with these changes.
Team Competition
- Participation: Consider entering the team competition for the Skippo Saturday 10k!
- Team Size: Up to Five people may join the same team.
- Winning Criteria: The three fastest members of your team will have their times combined to determine the winner.
- Challenge: Convince a few friends to join you and see if you are St. Louis' fastest trail team.
