Race History
- Inception: The Skippo began in 2009 as a 20k trail race in beautiful Castlewood State Park.
- Course: Featured two 10k loops on a fairly flat course except for the famous stairs!
- Growth: In 2011, two more options were added: a 10k and a 30k to involve more runners.
- Modern Day: In 2019, the 20k was changed to a Half-Marathon, marking the evolution into the modern SKIPPO.
Team Competition
- Challenge: Consider entering the team competition for the Skippo Saturday 10k!
- Team Setup: Convince a few friends to join you and see if your team is St. Louis' fastest trail team.
- Team Size: Up to five people may join the same team.
- Winning Criteria: The three fastest members of your team will have their times combined to determine the winner.
