EVENT OVERVIEW
- Race Date: November 27, 2025
- Location: Keeneland Race Course, 4201 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY
- Registration Cap: Capped at 3,300 registrants – no additional registrations on race morning.
- Event Benefits: Supports local charities, typically donating over $40,000.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Website: Check our website and like our Facebook page for updates.
- Awards: Overall awards, age group awards, and kids' finisher medals included.
- Team Option: Create or join a team to compete for prizes: must register by November 26th.
- Registration Fees: There are additional fees from RunSignUp for using their service.
AWARDS
- Overall Awards: Awards for Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Seniors, and Age Groups.
- Finisher Medals: Turkey medals for children ages 1-9 with appropriate race bib.
- Eligibility: Stroller bibs are not eligible for turkey medals.
SWAG
- Shirts: Long-sleeve technical shirt for registrants, available in youth sizes.
- Sizing: Register early to ensure preferred shirt size: no exchanges until after the race.
- Hoodies: Option to purchase a Club-themed technical hoodie during registration.
- Socks: Premium running socks for the first 1,000 participants aged 10 and older.
IMPORTANT DATES
- August 1: Registration opens at $25.
- August 15: Price increase to $30.
- October 1: Price increase to $40.
- November 25-26: Packet pickup from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
STROLLERS &: DOGS
- $5 Untimed Bib: Required for each stroller and dog: must be purchased.
- Start Area: Participants with strollers and dogs must start behind all runners.
- Responsibility: Participants are responsible for their strollers and dogs.
- No Retractable Leashes: Prohibited during the race.
PACKET PICKUP
- Location: Barn 2 at Keeneland Racecourse.
- Pickup Days: November 25 and 26 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
- Race Day Pickup: Begins at 7:30 AM: arrive at least one hour early.
- No Packet Pickup Post-Race: All packets must be picked up during scheduled times.
NO REFUNDS
As all proceeds are donated to charity, there are no refunds, no exceptions. Thank you for supporting local non-profits!
VIRTUAL PACKETS
Virtual race registrants who opt for mailing will receive packets after the race. For earlier packets, attend Packet Pickup.
OTHER - RACE WEBSITE
The Thoroughbred Classic is presented by Bluegrass Runners (www.bluegrassrunners.org) and will be chip-timed by BlueGrass Timing (BlueGrass Timing).
