Event Overview

• Location: Lexington’s historic Keeneland Race Course at 4201 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY
• Time: 9:00 AM
• Participants: Runners and walkers from across the country
• Charity: Benefits local charities, typically donating over $40,000

General Information

• Website: Check our website and like our Facebook page for latest news.
• Awards: Overall awards, age group awards, and kids 9 and under receive finisher medals.
• Team Option: Create or join a team: participants must register by November 26th at 11:59 PM.
• Registration Fees: RunSignUp charges a service fee: register as a group to save money.

Awards

• Awards: Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Seniors, and Age Group Awards will be presented.
• Turkey Medals: Awarded to children (ages 1-9) with a race bib.
• Stroller Bibs: $5 untimed bibs are NOT eligible for turkey medals.
• Eligibility: Awards are given based on defined categories and participation rules.

Swag

• Commemorative Shirt: Registrants receive a long-sleeve technical shirt while supplies last.
• Youth-Specific Shirts: Available while supplies last.
• Hoodies: Optional Club-themed technical hoodie for purchase during registration.
• Socks: First 1,000 participants aged 10 or older receive premium PRO Compression socks.

Important Dates

• August 1: Registration opens at $25 per registration.
• August 15: Price increases to $30 per registration.
• November 1: Last chance to guarantee kids' shirt size.
• November 25-26: Packet pick-up from 2:00-6:00 PM at Keeneland Racecourse.

Strollers & Dogs

• Registration: A $5 untimed bib must be purchased for each stroller and each dog.
• Starting Area: Must start behind all runners and walkers.
• Responsibility: Participants are responsible for their strollers and dogs on the course.
• No Retractable Leashes: These are not permitted during the race.

Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: November 25-26 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Barn 2, Keeneland.
• Race Day Pickup: Begins at 7:30 AM: please arrive early to avoid delays.
• Registration: Available at packet pickup.
• Mailing Option: Available for the virtual race but will be mailed after the event.

No Refunds

Because we donate all proceeds to charity, there are no refunds, no exceptions. Thank you for supporting your local non-profits!

Virtual Packets

If you register for our virtual race AND pay for your packet to be mailed, it will be mailed to you the Monday after the race.

Race Website

The Thoroughbred Classic is presented by Bluegrass Runners (www.bluegrassrunners.org) and will be chip timed by BlueGrass Timing (BlueGrass Timing).
