Course Description and Highlights

• Excitement: We are super excited to showcase the Hal Canfield Memorial Mile during the Volunteer Track Classic!
• Goal: Pursue your PR with us in 2026!
• Proceeds: Proceeds from this race go to the Hal Canfield Endowment Scholarship fund.
• Scholarships: Scholarships are distributed each year to local graduating high school athletes for college tuition to honor KTC Founder Hal Canfield.

Registration & Entry Fee

• Cost: $15.
• Registration: There is no race day registration.
• Policy: NO REFUNDS and NO TRANSFERS.
• Deadline: Register before race day to secure your spot.

Race Day Schedule

• 11:00 AM: Check-in begins at Tom Black Track
• ~ 12:15 PM: Women's Mile Heats
• ~ 12:35 PM: Men's Mile Heats
• 1:15 PM: Awards

Awards

Race Day Awards to the top 10 male/female in each category:

• Open: Top awards for overall performance.
• Masters: Recognition for older athletes.
• Grandmasters: Awards for exceptional performances by senior athletes.
• Note: This is different from the normal KTC race award structure.

Grand Prix Points Team Competition

The Hal Canfield Mile is on the 2026 Team Competition schedule. 2026 Grand Prix Points awarded winners in various categories and age groups.
