Purpose
- Goal: Help needy dogs in our community and beyond.
- Support: Our caring staff and volunteers provide shelter, care, healthy food, medical care, and behavioral support.
- Course: Beautiful Androscoggin Riverwalk path.
- Dog-friendly: One of the few events in Maine that allows dogs (must be current on vaccinations and NO flex-lead leashes).
Event Details
- Date & Time: RAIN OR SHINE, starts at 9:00 a.m.
- Refunds: We do not offer refunds, including shirts that are not picked up by race day.
- Shirt Pickup: If you bought a shirt but do not attend the race, contact us by April 25 to hold it for you.
Registration Information
- Early Bird Registration: $25 until December 31.
- Regular Registration: $30 from January 1 to April 25.
- Same-Day Registration: $35 in-person until 8:30 a.m.
- Kids under 8: FREE! (no dogs please).
Prizes
- Top Finishers: Male and female in each age group (both running with and without a dog).
- Best Dressed Pet: Prize for the most stylish pet.
- Raffle Prizes: All registered participants will be entered.
- New Prizes: Team that fundraises the most will get a pizza party, and a longest traveler prize.
Course Details
- Start Location: Humane Society (55 Strawberry Ave).
- Route Directions: Go right out of the parking lot, left at the stop sign onto Tall Pines Drive.
- Trailhead: Where the road curves right: follow the trail to Sunnyside Park.
- Return: Turn around and come back: maps will be posted at registration.
Additional Pickup Information
- Optional Pickup: Bib and shirt pickup will be Saturday, April 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the shelter.
