History: Hoosiers Outrun Cancer is one of the oldest and largest 5K run/walks in Indiana.
Course: The course covers part of the beautiful Indiana University campus.
Race Options: The race traditionally features a 5K Walk or Run and 1 Mile Walk or Run.
Awards: Awards will be offered in the 5K to adults in age categories for men and women for top finishers, while awards will be offered to youth in the 1 Mile for top finishers.
💵 Support and Impact
Fundraising: Since 2000 HOC has raised over $5 million to support people impacted by cancer in south central Indiana.
Beneficiaries: Funds raised by this event under the guidance of Bloomington Health Foundation launched Cancer Support Community South Central Indiana (CSCSCI) in Bloomington, IN.
Services Offered: This office provides counseling and support groups, nutrition & exercise classes, art & music therapy, reiki, oncology massage, professional education presentations, social connections for survivors and families, a wig boutique, youth art backpacks, comfort kits, and financial assistance with food and transportation to patients in active treatment cycles.
Accessibility: Programs are FREE to all cancer patients, survivors, family members, caregivers, and friends.
